10 movies to look forward to in 2023

In 2022 we saw the releases of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ and ‘The Fablemans’. And 2023 has an equally impressive lineup.

You’ll see Mario search Mushroom Land, Harrison Ford going backwards in the fifth “Indiana Jones” and Ethan Hunt doing another impossible task.

Here are 10 movies that will thrill you next year.

1. “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Human”

The third film in the “Ant Man” series picks up where “Avengers: Endgame” left off. It’s a post-Thanos world, and Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) returns to the world five years after he was “kidnapped” by Marvel’s villain, Thanos.

Finding themselves in the Quantum Realm, Ant Man and his daughter must find a way home.

2- Super Mario Bros. movie.

A popular Japanese video game is getting a movie. The characters are voiced by a star-studded cast including Chris Pratt, Jack Black, Seth Rogan, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day and Keegan Michael Key.

Pratt described the role as “a lifelong dream of mine”, according to the Deseret News.

3. “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3”

The third and final Guardians of the Galaxy movie will hit theaters in 2023. It’s been five years since the last movie was released, and Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) has a new ship. Groot, Rocket, Mantis, and Gamora will all appear in the movie.

4. “The Little Mermaid”

In 2023, Disney will release a live-action version of The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey, Melissa McCarthy, and Jacob Tremblay. Music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken.

5. Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse

Miles Morales is back to explore another Spider-Verse comic. In the trailer, we see Miles reunite with Gwen, who follows him outside his bedroom window on a new adventure.

6. “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”

The fifth film in the Indiana Jones series takes place in 1969, in the midst of the space race and Indy will be fighting the Nazis.

Using several different techniques, Harrison For will be re-aged to look the same as he did in the first Indiana Jones movie.

“This is the first time I’ve seen a place where I believe,” Ford said. “It’s a little scary. I don’t even think I am Wants To see how it works, but it works.”

7. “Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning” Part 1

Tom Cruise hasn’t finished making the Mission: Impossible movies. Next year, the franchise will continue with Ethan Hunt’s seventh mission, complete with all the hallmarks of an Impossible Mission – fighting on top of a moving train, car chases on European streets and jumping off cliffs.

8- Oppenheimer

In 2023, Christopher Nolan will bring the story of the first atomic bomb to Oppenheimer’s theatres. The film stars Cillian Murphy as Robert Oppenheimer, Robert Downey Jr. as Louis Strauss, and Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock, according to CNN.

9- Barbie

The live-action Barbie movie, starring Ryan Gosling as Ken and Margot Robbie as Barbie, hits theaters in July 2023. The movie is directed and co-written by Greta Gerwig.

10. “Dune” Part 2

Dune fans will have to wait about another year for the sequel to the sci-fi thriller starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya to debut in theaters. There are relatively no details about the movie released to the public yet, but according to Collider, filming has finished.
