This movie is noteworthy for several reasons, chief among which is the unique and refreshing story. The film is brilliantly shot, and last but not least the performance of four legendary actors: Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Danny Denzongpa.

Tripti Dimri plays the lead character in the movie, and has blended in well with the character. The story of this movie flows like poetry. Everyone should watch this movie as it differs from the usual Bollywood fare.

One of my personal favorites from the movie was Jangbai’s final speech at Azaad Maidaan. Gangpai’s story is one of bravery, and highlights the harsh realities of people engaging in such practices.

The movie is set during the riots of the 1980s. This movie features some of the best actors in the industry. The film received mixed reviews from the audience. Director Ali Abbas Zafar directed this movie beautifully.

While the movie may not be among the best at capturing the 1984 riots, this movie can certainly give an insight to the younger generation about what life was like at the time during such terrifying times.

The film is well written by Jasmeet and Parvez Sheikh, and tightly edited by Nitin Beed. It will keep you hooked till the climax. The background score and songs match well with the movie.
Not only in terms of direction and writing, the movie also excels in terms of performance.
