The 2020 contestant, an aristocrat and professional hunter, posted a snapshot of himself while improving in his hospital bed in the intensive care unit and details of his injuries.

Shared by his 48,000 Instagram followers, Ole thanked his girlfriend Laura Nover, 25, her family and friends as well as some ‘incredible surgeons’ after they suffered a broken pelvis, internal bleeding and a broken wrist.

He said he didn’t feel ready to go public about his traumatic accident until he was “out of the woods” as he shared that his doctors were confident he would make a full recovery.

“I wasn’t really ready to post this until I got out of the woods proper, which I now think (I hope!),” Ole wrote on Christmas Eve.

I fell off a balcony last weekend and ended up in intensive care with a fractured pelvis and wrist and internal bleeding.

His family smiled for a photo with their loved ones as they all enjoyed a hot drink by the Christmas tree in his hospital.

His immediate choice was to link up with Paige Turley, who went on to win the show with now boyfriend Finley Tapp.

He told fellow islanders about his love life, including that he cheated on his ex-girlfriend nine times – but dramatically left the villa after admitting he still loved her.

The couple is still together now and she has proven to be a huge part of his recovery after the porch accident.
