Veteran actor Ronan Vibert has passed away after a battle with a “brief illness,” according to Deadline.

According to the post, his management team confirmed the sad news.

Ronan died at the age of 58 and was known for his works including Saving Mr. Banks, Roma and Dracula and the Snowman.

According to the publication, a private family service will be held soon, ahead of the celebration of life in London.

He first appeared in the 1989 show, Traffic. The series was the basis for the Oscar-winning 2000 film Traffic, which was directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Vibert went on to have a successful career on British television starring in episodes of Birds Of A Feather, Lovejoy and Gimme Gimme Gimme.

He also starred in the TV mini-series The Buccaneers in 1995 which featured a great cast including Mira Sorvino and Carla Gugino.

Vibert has continued his successful career in feature films starring in 2001’s The Cat’s Meow with Kirsten Dunst, 2002’s The Pianist with Adrien Brody, 2003’s Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life with Angelina Jolie, and 2003’s Tristan + Isolde with James. Franco in 2006.

The British playwright went on to star in 2013’s Saving Mr. Banks, which was nominated for an Academy Award.

Vibert pictures the publisher of Emma Thompson author Mary Poppins alongside Tom Hanks, Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti, and Bradley Whitford.
