Romesh Ranganathan joked about working with Kathryn Ryan on their new series, The Romantic Getaway, where they play a married couple.
Appearing on Graham Norton’s New Year’s Eve show, the 44-year-old comedian quipped that the mother-of-three, 39, had warned him there would be no “touching” on set.
The duo play an ordinary couple who find themselves caught up in drama after they steal £500,000 from their boss on The Sky Comedy.

Asked about his new series on the show, Romesh said, ‘I’ve written very nice sitcoms with funny scripts, but I’ve never written anything that’s plot-driven — you want it to be funny but you also want to drive this twisted story. It was amazing.’
He jokingly added, ‘Despite playing a married couple, Katherine[Ryan]who is a really good mate of mine, made it clear from the start that there would be no touching – she was adamant.
“In fact I think it was a deal breaker for her!”
Romish also spoke about his new special, The Cynic, on The Graham Norton Show.

He said, “Most of the Netflix specials take place at the Apollo, so I thought it would be funny to do it at a local theater in Crawley, which looks like an entertainment hub!”
Romantic Getaway will be on Sky Comedy with NOW from 1 January and contains six episodes.
Romish and Katherine star together as a married couple at the center of Deacon and Alison’s series.

They are joined by Johnny Vegas who plays their devious and unpredictable boss Alfie.
Romesh co-wrote the series with Benjamin Green, Sarah Morgan, and Elaine Gracie. Sean Wilson directed the series.
The new series comes a week after Katherine’s introduction The birth of her third child.

The star welcomed a baby girl named Fenna Grace in the wee hours of this past Friday morning, with husband Bobby Kootstra announcing the news on Instagram.
Along with an adorable snap of their newborn daughter, Poppy also shared a photo of Katherine during her “long” labor where he praised her “strength” — before posting a shot of her postpartum placenta.

Incredible mom! She proves her strength time and time again through a relatively long home birth. We are very lucky :)’.
Katherine also shared an adorable son of their son Fred, 18 months, meeting his new sister timestamp 12.05.
She later moved on to her story to tell us there was a “glitch” during the birth that kept things running late and a “little touch and go” but now she’s fine.
The TV star is also mom to daughter Violet, 12, from a previous relationship.
Katherine revealed that she was pregnant with her third child in July.
The TV personality admitted she knew she was expecting after trying for the first time while she was still breastfeeding her son, Fred, whom she welcomed just 13 months ago.
