Love Island’s Laura Anderson thanked a saint for saving her friends’ lives after he got into a terrible car accident.

Hollyoaks star Gary, 41, was taken to hospital on Boxing Day after the crash, which saw the front of his car completely smashed.

Laura, 33, took to her Instagram to share a snapshot of a saint card Gary had given him gran.

The Hollyoaks and Celebs Go Dating star did not sustain serious injuries, but he did leave hospital with a bad knee and on crutches.

He rushed to his aid his new girlfriend, former Love Island contestant Laura Anderson, who shared insight into the incident with her 1.4 million Instagram followers.

Gary also admitted that he was lucky to walk away from the attack, telling his followers, “Someone was watching me.”

While the details of the accident are still unknown, the front of Gary’s Range Rover was cleaned in the collision as the windshield was shattered, leaving the car completely intact.

Sharing a photo of his damaged car, the Hollyoaks star wrote: “Someone was watching me today” before naming himself “Gary 9 Lives.”

The accident happened around 10 am, and the actor was in the hospital by 11 am with a very swollen knee.

Fortunately, he ended up without serious injury, and was discharged later in the evening with a brace over his knee and two crutches to assist with walking.

Gary’s girlfriend, Laura, whom he met during his recent stint on Celebs Go Dating, was on hand to take care of him.

The former Love Island contestant shared a video as they left the hospital, in which he filmed her boyfriend walking on crutches after he was treated with morphine to help with his pain.

“Happy Boxing Day. We had a great time. How do you feel about morphine?” I asked before Gary He replied, “Nice to be fair.”

Laura laughingly asked to see her knee, before placing an apologetic kiss on his cheek and saying, “It’s not funny. Sorry, I love you.”

Gary ended the evening with some rest as he lounging on the sofa with Laura’s dog Buddy, enjoying some TV.

Then, the beauty shared a set of snaps documenting the shocking Boxing Day timeline, starting with Merry Christmas before going down the hill to the hospital, and ending with Gary sleeping on the couch.
