Elon Musk shares a second photo of his bedside table, which shows a Christmas card inspired by the US Constitution – calling it his “most cherished” item.
- The CEO of Twitter showed off a collection of books related to the founding of America
- In an earlier photo, his fondness for guns and decaf Diet Coke is evident
- Musk has been under harsh media scrutiny for months
“Chief Twit” Elon Musk shared another photo of his side table this week, showing off the US Constitution and calling it the “most valuable item” on the nightstand.
The sudden glimpse into his personal quarters came in response to a tweet from an account called Musk University, which tweets quotes from the famous CEO.
In this case, the account posted: “The Constitution is greater than any president. End of story.”
Musk replied: May it always be like this. It’s the richest item on my nightstand,” the top photo of the table shows.
Musk, once again, showed off a bedside table in a shot that included a series of documents that were integral to the founding of America
The photo was posted in response to an account that posts Musk’s old quotes, highlighting his commitment to the US Constitution
Musk has described himself as an “absolute free speech” and, as such, apparently sleeps with copies of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and Washington’s rules of civility.
The three books appear to be part of a bound collection of some of America’s founding documents and most important pieces of writing.
This photo is the second time in recent weeks that Musk has shared a glimpse of his bedside table.
The first came in late November, when he posted a photo containing four empty cans of decaf Diet Coke, a framed photo of George Washington crossing the Delaware that came complete with a copy of Washington’s flintlock pistol, a Tibetan Buddhist ritual object known as the Vajra Dorje, and a fake .357. Used in the video game “Deus Ex: Human Revolution”.
On the edge of the table in the first picture is the collection of books, including a copy of the Constitution.
“My bedside table,” he captioned the initial photo. “There is no excuse for my lack of coasters.”
In the updated snapshot, Musk appears to have acquired the coasters.
In Musk’s first bedside photo in November, he showed off his love of the decaffeinated diet drink, his penchant for George Washington, guns (though not real), and Buddhist ritual objects.
Musk has been sharing a few details about himself on the short-form social media platform that he got official at the end of October.
Musk has been under constant media scrutiny since his acquisition of the platform, as he has, among other things, orchestrated the release of information about the old guard and the way the company is run.
Musk recently revealed that he will step down as CEO of Twitter when he finds a suitable fit to take over.
He previously posted a poll asking users if he should stay in charge, but lost by nearly 18 points.
In another recent incident, Musk appeared to lose his cool when a Twitter Space participant — and former Twitter employee — pushed him to explain how he was going to reinvent Twitter.
The conversation turned technical and ended with Musk calling the former employee – George Hotez – a “moron”.
